Terms of Service

Last updated September 8, 2026 · Grail Construction & Engineering · questions: ethanvillaneda@gmail.com

GRAIL is construction intelligence and operations software for self-performing contractors. These terms are written in plain language and they are the whole agreement between you (the company that signs up) and Grail Construction & Engineering ("GRAIL", "we").

1. What you get

A subscription to the GRAIL OS plan you chose on the pricing page: a territory, the radar (opportunities compiled from public records), weekly priorities, and the office tools (bid board, estimating, projects, field, billing). Plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, as you chose at checkout, and renew automatically at the end of each term until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Billing in one click; your access runs to the end of the paid term and you are not charged again.

1a. Trial and automatic conversion

The trial is 14 days of the full platform. A payment method is required to activate it, and nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the plan and billing term you selected starts automatically and your payment method is charged for the first term, unless you cancel before the trial ends — from Billing, in one click, no call required. We show the trial end date and the plan that will start on your Billing page and in the app banner throughout the trial. If your card cannot be charged when the trial ends, the subscription is canceled and nothing is owed.

1b. Programs

GRAIL Install and the Founding Contractor Partner program are fixed-fee engagements described in a separate order confirmed by email before any work begins: Install is a one-time fee plus software; the Partner program is a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee with a 90-day minimum, month-to-month after that with 30 days' notice. GRAIL never charges a percentage of your revenue.

2. What the data is — and is not

  • Every lead, contact, filing, bid result and vendor comes from a public record or a public dataset. The source is shown on the record. We do not buy private data about people.
  • Scope ranges, values and scores marked est., modeled or GRAIL ESTIMATE are our calculations from acreage and public unit prices. They are a starting point for your own estimate, not a quote and not a guarantee of work.
  • Public records are sometimes wrong, late or incomplete. We show what the record says; we do not verify every phone number or owner. Confirm before you rely on it.
  • We make no promise that you will win any job. What we promise is that the data on the screen traces back to the record it came from.

3. Your data

Your leads, calls, notes, estimates, jobs and invoices are yours. They live in your own workspace, isolated from every other customer. We use them only to run the product for you and to compute your own numbers. If you cancel, you can export them; we delete them on request.

4. Acceptable use

Use GRAIL for your own contracting business. Do not resell, scrape or redistribute the radar data, share one login across companies, or use the contact information for spam, robocalls or anything that violates the TCPA, CAN-SPAM or state law. You are responsible for how you contact the people the radar names.

5. Availability and changes

We aim for the product to be up all the time and for the Monday digest to arrive every Monday; we do not guarantee either. We improve the product continuously and may change features. If a change removes something you paid for, tell us and we will make it right or refund the unused term.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, GRAIL's total liability to you is the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost bids or decisions you make from the data.

7. Legal

Montana law applies; disputes go to the courts of Gallatin County, Montana. If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; we will post the date at the top and email material changes to the account owner.
